Andy Neumann serves as State Representative for the 106th House District, which includes Alcona, Alpena, Crawford, Montmorency, Oscoda and Presque Isle counties. He is dedicated to diversifying our economy and creating good-paying jobs now, expanding educational opportunities and lowering the cost of health care.
Andy has a long history of service to our communities. From 1998 to 2002, Neumann served as State Representative for Northeast Michigan. Prior to his time in the Legislature, Neumann served as a firefighter and paramedic with the city of Alpena from 1982 to 1998.
Andy was raised by a tight-knit, hardworking family that instilled in him a sense of community pride. In addition to serving on numerous boards in Northeast Michigan, he recently served as the state Fire Marshal, a position that oversees the training curriculum for Michigan’s 33,000 firefighters and conducts inspections of state facilities such as hospitals, schools and nursing homes.
An avid hunter and fisherman, Andy understands how important our precious natural resources are to Michigan, and he will fight to keep our air, land and water clean and healthy.
